Connect SMS
Last updated: July 23, 2026
Use Settings → SMS to connect the HubSpot Conversations inbox that contains the SMS channel your account uses.
Connect HubSpot Salesmsg
Before starting, confirm the intended Salesmsg account is installed as a channel in a HubSpot Conversations inbox.
- Open Settings → SMS.
- Select Connect HubSpot.
- Choose the intended HubSpot portal and approve access.
- Return to Winly and select the HubSpot inbox that contains the intended Salesmsg channel.
- Select Save.
- Confirm the page shows the expected portal, authorizing user, inbox, and sender identifier.
The SMS setup is complete only after both an inbox and its Salesmsg channel account have been saved.
Refresh or change the HubSpot SMS inbox
- Select Refresh inboxes after changing the Salesmsg channel in HubSpot.
- Select another available inbox and then Save to change the SMS source.
- An inbox without a Salesmsg channel is disabled.
Disconnect HubSpot SMS
Select Disconnect SMS to clear the HubSpot Salesmsg inbox selection. This leaves the underlying HubSpot email authorization in place.
Disconnecting HubSpot from Settings → Email has a broader effect: it also clears the HubSpot SMS connection. See Connect email with HubSpot.
Verify SMS
- Send a text message to the connected Salesmsg number from a test contact.
- Confirm the conversation appears in Inbox with the SMS badge.
- Send a text-only reply.
The Winly SMS composer does not expose text-to-speech, message replies, or reactions. See Compare channel capabilities.
If SMS appears connected but a reply fails, record the affected contact, selected inbox, sender, and approximate failure time before contacting Support.
