Connect Instagram Direct

Choose the correct connection guide

Use the option displayed under Channels in Settings to choose the guide. Do not use the other connection flow when its option is not available in your account.

This article covers Instagram Direct. This connection signs in with Instagram and does not require you to log in with Facebook.

Connect Instagram Direct

1. Open Settings → Instagram Direct.

2. Select Connect Instagram Direct.

3. Allow the Winly pop-up if your browser asks.

4. Sign in to the intended Instagram professional account.

5. Approve the requested access for messages, comments, profile details, and publishing features.

6. Wait for the success window to close, then return to Winly.

7. Confirm the expected account name and username are displayed.

Reconnect Instagram Direct

If Winly says the connection needs to be reconnected:

1. Select Reconnect Instagram Direct.

2. Sign in to the same Instagram account.

3. Approve access and wait for the success window to close.

4. Refresh the settings page once if the previous status remains visible.

The connected profile also shows Connect / Reconnect. Use it to refresh authorization for the current account, not as an account-switching shortcut.

Disconnect or switch modes

The Instagram Direct settings page does not provide a disconnect button. Contact Winly Support if the account must be removed or if the account needs to switch to a different Instagram Direct profile.

Switching modes without a coordinated disconnect can leave the account with stale data from previous connection.

If the pop-up does not finish

• Allow pop-ups for the Winly site and start again.

• Keep the Winly tab open while completing Instagram authorization.

• On an error screen, read the message before closing the window; failed windows do not close automatically.

After connecting, send one text message to the account and verify it in Inbox before testing replies, comments, or media.
