Manage the Media Center

The Media Center is a shared audio-clip library. Its clips are available to workflow Send Voice Message actions; it is not an image or general attachment library for the Inbox composer.

Review the audio library

Each clip card shows its title, an audio player, an edit control, and a delete control. The page also displays the total number of clips.

Add an audio clip

1. Open Settings → Media Center.
2. Select Upload Clip.
3. Enter a title of up to 100 characters.
4. Choose Upload File or Record.
5. Preview the selected or recorded audio when available.
6. Select Save Clip.

Upload an audio file

The released form accepts one file at a time with a maximum size of 25 MB. Its customer-facing supported-format list is:

Wait for Clip uploaded successfully before closing the dialog or opening another settings page.

Record a clip

1. In Upload Clip, select Record.
2. Select Start Recording and allow microphone access when prompted.
3. Select Stop when finished.
4. Play the recording to review it.
5. Select Record again to discard it, or select Save Clip to keep it.

The recording stays in the dialog until you save it. Closing the dialog discards an unsaved recording.

Rename a clip

Select the edit control, change the title, and select Save. Renaming a clip also updates its label in workflow actions that reference the same stored audio URL.

Use a clip in a workflow

In a workflow Send Voice Message action, select Recorded Clip, then choose a clip under Select Voice Clip. Review Send a voice message for channel requirements and text-to-speech alternatives.

Delete a clip

Select the delete control and confirm Delete. A clip cannot be deleted while a workflow still references it. If Winly lists blocking workflows, remove or replace the clip in every listed workflow and try again.

Troubleshoot the Media Center

Symptom	Likely cause	Resolution
The file cannot be selected	Its type is outside the formats shown by the uploader	Convert it to MP3, M4A, WAV, OGG, or AAC and select one file
Upload fails	The file exceeds 25 MB or audio conversion failed	Confirm the size, play the source file locally, and retry once
Recording does not start	Microphone access was denied or no input device is available	Allow microphone access for Winly, select an input device, and reopen the dialog
Delete is blocked	A workflow still contains the clip URL	Remove or replace the clip in each workflow listed by the dialog
A renamed title looks stale	The page or workflow editor has older data loaded	Reload once after the rename completes
