Configure report goals and funnel stages

Last updated: July 23, 2026

The Reports Dashboard uses two workspace configurations:

  • Goals provide the company target for Revenue and the individual targets for Sales Leaderboard.
  • Funnel stages control the middle stages shown between the fixed Assigned and Sales stages.

Set company and agent goals

  1. Open Reports → Dashboard.
  2. Select Set Goals.
  3. Enter a positive Company Goal for the current month.
  4. Enter a positive goal for each listed agent.
  5. Select Save.
  6. Wait for the success confirmation, then refresh the Dashboard if the displayed goal has not changed.

The dialog saves goals effective on the current date. It does not let you select another month or effective date.

Understand where goals appear

Goal Used by How it is displayed
Company Goal Revenue Full company target at the end of the gauge
Company goal pace Revenue Marker representing the goal allocated through the selected reporting days
Agent Goal Sales Leaderboard Percentage above or below the goal allocated to the selected days; hover to see the dollar amount

If a goal is changed partway through a month, earlier reporting days retain the goal that applied to them and later days use the revised goal. The reporting process recalculates the remaining company pace from the effective date forward.

Goal changes update the goal configuration immediately, but Dashboard values are also based on stored daily reports. A refreshed chart can therefore continue to show an older daily goal allocation until reporting data is updated.

Understand the default funnel

When no custom funnel configuration exists, the Dashboard uses:

Order Default stage Source
1 Assigned Eligible new contacts created in the period
2 Leads Entry into the Leads stage
3 Qualified Entry into the Qualified stage
4 Offer Presented Entry into the Offer Presented stage
5 Sales Entry into the closed-won Sales stage

Adding and saving a custom funnel replaces the default middle stages. Assigned always remains first and Sales always remains last.

Prepare pipeline tags

Only tags marked as Pipeline Tag can be added to a custom report funnel.

  1. Open Settings → Tags.
  2. Create a tag or edit an existing one.
  3. Enable Pipeline Tag.
  4. Save the tag.

For complete tag guidance, see Create and manage tags. Use distinct stages and apply them consistently; Reports measures when contacts enter the configured stages.

Configure the Funnel Pipeline

An administrator can change the report funnel:

  1. Open Reports → Dashboard.
  2. Select the settings icon beside the All Agents selector in Funnel Pipeline.
  3. Select the plus control.
  4. Choose an available pipeline tag.
  5. Repeat until the required middle stages are present. The current interface supports up to five selected middle tags.
  6. Drag the handle on a tag to place it in the intended order.
  7. Select the X on a stage to remove it from the chart configuration.
  8. Select Save.

Keep at least one middle stage when saving a custom configuration. Removing a tag from this dialog removes it from the report funnel; it does not delete the tag or remove it from contacts.

Do not add Closed Won or Closed Lost as middle stages. Closed Won is already represented by the fixed Sales stage, and the report does not accept either closed stage in the custom middle sequence.

Review the effect of a funnel change

After saving:

  1. Confirm the Funnel Pipeline headings follow the saved order.
  2. Confirm Agent Funnel Breakdown uses the same middle-stage columns.
  3. Check the current and previous values for one known stage.
  4. Remember that changing the chart configuration does not add tags to contacts or move contacts between stages.

See Review the Reports Dashboard for an explanation of stage counts, comparison labels, conversion percentages, and the agent filter.

If a pipeline tag is unavailable or the change does not save, follow Troubleshoot Reports.
